Jean van der Westhuyzen won gold in the K2 1000m canoe sprint at Tokyo 2020 alongside Tom Green, setting an Olympic record and becoming Australia's first ever gold medallist in the event. Four years later in Paris, the pair added a K2 500m bronze to the collection.
