Akec Makur Chuot
Akec Makur Chuot went from a Kenyan refugee camp to becoming the first African woman drafted into the AFLW. She played 40 games across Fremantle, Richmond and Hawthorn before retiring in 2023. She now works as a speaker, MC and Plan International ambassador for equity.
