Ace Bourke curated landmark exhibitions on Aboriginal and colonial Australian art before a 2008 YouTube clip made him globally famous: the emotional reunion with Christian the Lion, the pet lion he and John Rendall returned to the wild in Kenya in 1971. He co-authored the bestselling book telling their story.
